Cindy has worked in philanthropic strategy, grant making and program development for family, community and corporate foundations. She founded Full Potential Philanthropy where she serves as an advisor and strategist for foundations and individuals, helping them develop portfolios of grants and impact investments to advance social change. She is also a Senior Advisor to the Impact Finance Center.
Before owning her own business, she was Vice President of Community Initiatives and Investments at The Women’s Foundation of Colorado. There she led all of the foundation’s programs, including grant making, research, a leadership program, public policy and statewide engagement efforts. Prior to that position, she served as Senior Program Officer for the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation, supporting a family and its legacy of philanthropy. She started her career in philanthropy as the Community Relations Manager at The Denver Post where she developed and directed programs in corporate social responsibility.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!) and is a graduate of the Master of Nonprofit Management program at Regis University where she is now Affiliate Faculty in the Global Nonprofit Leadership Department. She serves on the boards of the Colorado Nonprofit Loan Fund and WorkLife Partnership.
